About Us

Hello! We are Maggie & Ty.

We are the hosts of the Doghousea Dog the Bounty Hunter Rewatch Podcast!

We’re so glad you’re here! We hope you enjoy our weekly recaps of the pure nostalgic TV series Dog the Bounty Hunter. This show was such a highlight of my childhood, and rewatching it today brings back that magic – the chaos, the family drama, and those epic takedowns we all loved watching each week.
As a couple, we live for humor, laughter, and spending time together creating this fun, engaging podcast for longtime fans, new viewers, and everyone in between. Each week, we aim to bring you a little humor, some laughs, and fascinating deep-dive research to brighten your day through our podcast.

Each episode, we bring you:

  • A full recap of all the action
  • Our favorite moments and most quotable lines
  • Deep dives into topics connected to the episode – whether it’s about bounty hunting, the early 2000s reality TV era, or the show’s cultural impact. Fascinating behind-the-scenes stories we’ve uncovered.
  • And more!

The Real DOG Behind the Doghouse Podcast Name

Yes, our podcast is about Dog the Bounty Hunter and Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman… but meet the real inspiration behind The Doghouse name: Kofi, my almost 16-year-old Chihuahua and childhood dog.

Where did ‘Kofi’ come from? Great question—it traces back to Kofi Kingston, the popular WWE wrestler from the 2008 era. (What can I say? When you let your little brother name your puppy as a kid, you get a legendary name and live with the consequences!)

And she’s more than lived up to it. Stubborn? Tough? Loyal? Absolutely. She’s a true scrapper, weighing in at a mighty 7 pounds—or 7.5 after a chicken nugget dinner.

You’ll often find her lurking during recordings, supervising edits, or ‘helping’ with admin work (or napping on important papers).

When I created this podcast, I knew it would center on Dog the Bounty Hunter, but I wanted our own twist. These are my dawgs—the team I couldn’t imagine doing life (or this show) without. Their support, laughter, and joy keep me going.
